Hoke County High School Science Department strives to meet the needs of all students and to ensure that they are college and career ready.

The goal of the Science Department is to ensure that our students are scientifically literate and prepared to face the important decisions of the society that awaits them.

Writing and critical thinking are stressed across the curriculum, and technology is used to enhance the learning process.

We offer our students a solid foundation in the Sciences and hope to create in them a desire to further dive into these subjects.

Each of our students study Earth Science, Biology, Physical Science or Chemistry.

These required courses are complemented by our elective program that includes Anatomy and Physiology, Marine Science, Physics,  Advanced Placement Environmental Science, Advanced Placement Physics, Advanced Placement Biology, and Advanced Placement Chemistry.

Our school graduation requirements are met with three (3) science courses but all students are strongly encouraged to study a fourth year of Science.

Our dedicated staff provides daily tutoring and those dates and times are posted throughout the
halls of our Science Department.

We strive to meet the educational needs of our students, before, during, and after school.

Additionally, our department offers a Science Olympiad Club and a Robotics
Club.
