The Sandhills Promise

Eligibility

• Be a resident of Moore or Hoke County.
• Be a private, public, or registered home-school equivalent high school graduate planning to attend SCC the fall semester immediately following high school graduation.
• Successfully complete at least four dual-enrollment courses through SCC's Career and College Promise program with a GPA of 2.0 or higher and a 67% completion rate by the time of high school graduation.

Enrollment

• Apply to Sandhills as a degree-seeking student and meet with a College Navigator.
  • Students who completed a SCC application for the Career and College Promise Program are required to re-apply as a college student.

• Submit your high school or high school equivalency transcript.
• Apply for the Sandhills Promise by completing the online SCC scholarship application. 

• Complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA using 2023 tax information.
